Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness month. In 2021, an estimated 281,550 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the U.S., according to the National Breast Cancer Foundation. One in eight women in the United States will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime.

When diagnosed at the localized stage, the survival rate is 99%. Please speak with your healthcare provider, and have regular screenings. Early detection is key to successful treatment. Talk to your loved ones about regular screenings. It can save lives.

Each year, BancorpSouth donates $12,500 across five geographic regions to support Breast Cancer Awareness as a part of the BancorpSouth Pink Card Program. Regional organizations are submitted for consideration by BancorpSouth teammates to receive that region’s donation.
