Q: My family and I have health insurance through my work, but my company does not offer any vision insurance. Can I buy a stand-alone family vision plan?
A: Yes. Our experienced health care specialists will meet with you to discuss your exact needs and present you with a variety of stand-alone plans.
Q: Would I be able to choose my own optometrist?
A: This will very likely depend on the plan that you choose. Most of our plans allow you to choose your provider, but you may pay additional out of pocket costs for providers who are not on your plan. When you talk to one of BancorpSouth’s Insurance dedicated specialists, please mention your preference and they can discuss all of your plan options with you.
Q: How often will I be able to get new frames or new lenses?
A: That will very likely depend on the plan that you choose. Many vision plans allow for a routine eye exam each year, as well as new lenses as needed.
Q:Would my plan cover refractive surgery, such as LASIK?
A: Unfortunately, refractive surgery is not covered. However, there could be discounts based on your plan. Always refer to your plan for exact discounts and coverage.
